Super Simple Drink Card

Hi Y'all!  Today I made a card to participate in the CASology Week 28 card challenge.  This week inspiration is....DRINK.  I want to say, I DID NOT LIKE the impression plate from Papertrey Ink.  It bent and didn't leave the deep impression I normally like.  Usually I like their stuff, but not this...probably why they discontinued it and it is nowhere to be found on their website.

There are so few supplies used, I will just list them

Card for my Vet

Hi Y'all...not a great day for us here, we lost our little Kitty Gus-Gus this week.  He battled like crazy to beat the kidney failure and hang on, but when you are almost 17 and a kitty - there just isn't much his little body could do.  We are crushed....but we are honored to have had the care and kindness from our local Vet at Centreville Square Veterinary Clinic.  I made them this thank you card to let them know of our gratitude in their care of Gus.

Washi Tape Idea

Hi Y'all!  My 9 year old daughter came up with a brilliant idea to embellish Washi Tape.

I just bought the We R Memory Keepers Washi Tape Organizer .  Our local Costco had them for sale for $22.99 and it came with 30 rolls of Washi Tape!! Clearly, amazing deal!  So, what she did was to punch out little flowers in white cardstock.  Because Washi it semi-transparent, the white flowers just peeked through to the front.  She trimmed the edges, and VOILA!  Super cute embellished Washi!  I have a future craft designer in my family!!  We R Memory Keepers, here she comes!

Fresh Blooms by Neat & Tangled

Hi Y'all!  Hooray, my Fresh Blooms stamp set from Neat & Tangled showed up in the mail today, so I had to bust it out immediately!  Put to use the Derwent Inktense Pencils my DH got me for XMAS, and VOILA!  A Beautiful Card is Born! (Just ignore that I forgot to take a few of the mask pieces off in the picture :-)

Stamped images in Versamark, then used Black Embossing powder.  Lady Bugs are in Memento Tuxedo Black.  Colored the flowers, let it dry, masked off the Flowers & Bugs, and used Distress Ink to shade in the background.

Thank you for our Vet

Hi Y'all!  Our little kitty Gus Gus, who is a 16 year old Red & White Persian, has been diagnosed with Renal (Kidney) Failure.  He has had to go on daily IV fluids, appetite stimulants, nausea medicine, and so on.  His sister Ellie died of the same thing back in November, so we were well prepared to handle his needs.  However, were it not for our amazing vet at Centreville Square Animal Hospital our precious little Gus wouldn't be here today. Dr. Clear has taken amazing care of Gus and it is because of her that he is with us today.  So I made her this card to show our appreciation...I need to get her a gift, but for now this card is from the heart.
